We started producing windsurfing videos in 1992 with our first release - "Wind Obsession" (now a sort of cult-classic for hardcore wind junkies). That title pretty much describes both our's and our customer's lifestyles. As we expanded our business into windsurfing video distribution (because at that time there were no distributors in windsurfing), and now kiteboarding, we have not lost that obsession. That's what we like to think sets us apart from a normal distributor, we hit the water as often as possible, doing what you do. The best thing about our business is all the nice people we have connected with in the last few years. Windsurfers, and yes - even kiters, really are a great group of people. We feel like we’ve made new friends all over the U.S. and in other countries too!
Our goal is simple: - the best videos, at the best prices, shipped promptly! We are still a small company, and our first priority is to make sure that the videos you order are right for you. We are more than happy to answer any questions you might have and are knowledgeable about all the videos we sell. If you order a video that you aren’t happy with or the instruction is at the wrong level just let us know and we will exchange it or give you a refund - no hassles!
Lots of news from the West Coast. After moving 15 miles up the coast to Cambria (10 minutes from great sailing) in 1997, we took a timeout from windsurfing to produce a nature documentary which won a Telly award and honorable mention in the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (check it out at here if you're interested). In 2000 we set out to produce our first totally action windsurfing video since Spring Loaded in 1995. What we came up with by the end of November, however, was an epic kiteboarding film - Air Sickness, which barely preceeded another epic production - our first child - Spencer Rocket Caserio. I think we've maybe recovered from Spencer emerging on the scene because we somehow found time to produce our second kite video - Strung Out. We produced it in partnership with Peter Trow, who did the classics: Chapped and Surface Tension.
When Spencer was nearly 3 years old we had quite a setback (click the Spencer link for that dark chapter). But we have all recovered nicely, thank goodness, and are back in the saddle. Many of our windsurfing and kiting friends offered their support during that time and we can't thank them enough. Now Spencer is almost 9 years old and thriving in third grade. At the moment he seems to be leaning towards the windsurfing thing rather than the kiting. We'll see. But for now his big skill is snow skiing.
Since 2005 we have co-produced all 5 Real Kiteboarding instructional DVDs, plus their Stand-Up Paddle instructional and a regular surfing instructional DVD. We are pretty excited about the Stand-Up Paddle thing, and we've also embraced snowkiting. Those two sports are in their infancy and everyone seems to be full of stoke, just like kiting and windsurfing in their infancy.
